Vincent Luca is the owner of On Demand Pest Control, the Davie-based pest control company he founded in 2017 and now runs alongside his business partner, Chris, and operations manager, Mitch. He is a Florida certified operator in all four state categories — general household pest control, lawn and ornamental, termite and other wood-destroying organisms, and fumigation — held personally, on top of the company’s state license (#JB259950).
Vincent was born and raised in Davie. He grew up in a restaurant family, which means he grew up inside a business — schedules, systems, and the unglamorous processes that make a service operation actually work were dinner-table material before he was old enough to run one. An outdoorsman from the start, what pulled him into pest control wasn’t the trucks or the treatments; it was the biology. How insects feed. How they move through a structure. Vincent spent weeks investigating before tracing the entry to a roofing job botched a quarter-century earlier — a construction defect every previous company had missed. Not every job is solemn detective work. On a wildlife nuisance removal, a raccoon came flying out of an attic opening straight at Chris — who ducked — and Vincent caught it mid-air in a fishing net. The raccoon was relocated unharmed. The story gets retold at the office more often than either of them will admit.
Day to day, Vincent is the first to tell you he’s the office guy. He runs the company’s content and marketing, trains the inspection team, manages fumigation jobs and customer escalations, and heads up the in-house software On Demand built for its inspectors. He’s open about the company being unusually technology-heavy for the industry — “pest tech,” as he puts it — and he follows the field’s advancements closely, from modern termite bait-station systems to the AI-era tools changing how problems like Formosan termites get tackled.
Ask him why he’s still in it, and the answer is simple: nobody wants pests or wildlife in their home, and he genuinely likes being the person who ends that. “We have the best team around. I can truthfully say our entire team is A-players.”
