Frequently asked questions
How long does rodent control take in Plantation?
Rodent removal requires a minimum of two visits, spaced 5–7 days apart. Sealing and trapping start together on the first visit, and the follow-up checks traps and reassesses activity. Some homes need additional follow-ups depending on what the traps show.
What kind of rats get into Plantation attics?
Roof rats are the rodent most often associated with attic activity in South Florida, and locals also call them palm rats or citrus rats. They are strong climbers that use trees, fences, and utility lines to reach a roof, then enter at soffit returns, vents, and roofline gaps. Norway rats stay closer to the ground, and house mice are common in garages and utility spaces.
How soon can someone come out for rats in my house?
Appointments are typically available within 1–2 business days, and same-day service is often available when the schedule allows. If rats are in your living space, we usually respond by the next business day. We operate during business hours.
Is attic cleanup included with rodent control?
Attic sanitation and decontamination is an optional add-on, offered and priced separately when attic contamination warrants it. That work can include removing contaminated insulation, sanitizing and deodorizing the space, and re-insulating. You choose whether to add it — it is not part of the base rodent job.
Can I just use traps or store-bought bait myself?
DIY traps address the rodents you catch, and they do nothing about the openings the rest are using. Without exclusion, rodents can keep following the same routes in, which is why sealing the entry points is a core part of the service. Our process also keeps bait stations on the exterior perimeter only, never inside the home or attic.
