Frequently asked questions
How much does termite treatment cost in Boynton Beach?
It depends on the species, the method and the size of your home. The starting figure on this page applies only to a one-year drywood bond on a smaller home. Every other method is quoted after a free inspection, and you receive the quote in writing.
Do I have to leave my home during termite treatment?
It depends on the method. For tent fumigation, you leave the home, typically for two nights and three days. That can run longer because of weather, foam-insulated attics or the size of the structure, and you go back in only after the licensed fumigator posts clearance. Formosan liquid treatment doesn't require you to leave, but people and pets need to stay clear of the work area during treatment and off treated soil until the application has been watered in or has dried. Spot treatments and baiting installations have their own prep steps, which we explain before treatment.
Which termite treatments come with a warranty?
Each service has its own warranty terms. The drywood bond has a one-year or three-year initial term, renewable yearly, and covered drywood activity is re-treated at no additional charge. Drywood fumigation has a one-year term, renewable yearly, with covered re-treatment included. Drywood spot treatment has sixty days of coverage limited to the treated areas, and it is not renewable or transferable. The termite baiting system includes a first year of station monitoring and servicing with installation, with optional yearly renewal, and it covers subterranean termites only. Formosan liquid treatment has a one-year term, renewable yearly, with further liquid treatment only. Formosan fumigation has no warranty, and any later work is quoted as a new service.
Is the termite inspection free?
Yes. The standard inspection before treatment is free for Boynton Beach homeowners. An official WDO report for a real estate transaction is a separate paid service, and we quote it on request.
Can a baiting system handle drywood termites?
No. A baiting system targets subterranean termites, including Formosan termites, and does not cover drywood termites or above-ground infestations. Drywood activity is handled with a bond, a spot treatment or tent fumigation. For Formosan termites, longer-term protection can come from either a baiting system or a liquid soil treatment.
