Frequently asked questions
Is a termite inspection in Coral Gables free?
Yes. The standard inspection is free. Our inspector identifies the termite and gives you a written quote. An official WDO report for a home sale or closing is a separate paid service with its own quote.
Do I have to leave my home during termite treatment?
It depends on the method. For fumigation, you leave the home, typically for two nights and three days, and weather or the structure can make it longer. Nobody goes back inside until the licensed fumigator has tested and posted clearance. Formosan liquid treatment doesn't require you to leave. People and pets need to stay clear of the work area while work is in progress, and off treated soil until the application has been watered in or has dried. Other methods have their own prep steps, and we explain them before scheduling.
Can a baiting system stop drywood termites?
No. The baiting system targets subterranean termites, including Formosans, and doesn't cover drywood termites or above-ground infestations. For drywood activity, the options are spot treatment, a drywood bond or fumigation.
Does a termite warranty pay to repair damaged wood?
No. Depending on the agreement, coverage is limited to retreatment or bait station servicing, and Formosan fumigation has no warranty. None of our termite contracts includes repairing or replacing wood. Review your contract's terms before you choose a method.
How soon can someone come out to my Coral Gables home?
We respond the same day, and new customers are typically scheduled within 24 hours. Same-day appointments depend on availability and preparation.
