Mosquito Control in Marco Island for Yards and Landscaping

If mosquitoes make it hard to enjoy your yard on Marco Island, a recurring outdoor service can help reduce how many you deal with. Marco Island is a barrier-island city in Collier County, about 20 miles south of Naples on the Gulf Coast.

On Demand Pest Control offers a recurring mosquito control service for the outside of your home. We install In2Care® mosquito stations and apply a power-misting insecticide to your landscape foliage. Then we come back every month to inspect and maintain the stations and treat the foliage again. The goal is to reduce the number of mosquitoes on your property and how much they breed there.

We want to be clear from the start about what this service is. It reduces mosquito populations. It doesn’t eliminate them. Mosquitoes fly in from neighboring yards, waterways, drainage areas and untreated land, so you may still see some, especially after rain. The service covers the outside of your property only. It doesn’t treat indoors or public areas, and it doesn’t protect against mosquito-borne illness.

Our mosquito treatment uses two methods together. In2Care® stations placed around the yard work on breeding activity. Power-misting the landscape foliage targets the shaded plants where adult mosquitoes rest. We maintain both every month to reduce the mosquito population on your property. Your plan starts with an inspection of your own yard, not a one-size-fits-all application.

What a Monthly Mosquito Service Visit Involves

A typical visit has two parts. First, the technician checks each In2Care station to make sure it’s in place, undamaged and working. Then they mist the landscape foliage around your home, focusing on the dense, shaded plants where mosquitoes rest. If they spot standing water, a clogged gutter or a container collecting rain, they’ll point it out so you can deal with it before the next visit. Lawn crews, pool service and storms can knock stations out of place, so please tell us if a station looks damaged or has moved.

How Rain and Standing Water Affect Mosquito Activity

Mosquitoes need standing water to breed, and there’s plenty of it on a Gulf Coast barrier island. After a heavy rain, water collects in plant saucers, clogged gutters, tarps, bird baths, unused hot tubs and other containers around the yard. Any container that holds water for more than five days can become a breeding spot. That’s why bites often seem to jump in the days after a storm.

Location matters too. Homes next to canals, lakes, swales, ponds, marshes or other water may see more mosquito activity, because mosquitoes breed on land and water nearby and then fly into the yard. Shaded, thick landscaping gives them cool places to rest during the day. This is why the foliage around your home is the main target of each monthly misting.

Hurricanes, tropical storms, flooding and long stretches of heavy rain can cause mosquito numbers to spike across a whole area. A regular monthly schedule keeps the stations maintained and the foliage treated as conditions change. Your part between visits matters just as much: dumping out water after storms cuts down on breeding in your own yard.

How Mosquito Treatment Works at Marco Island Homes

Every Marco Island property is different, so we start by looking at your yard and then build a monthly plan around what we find. Here’s what the process looks like:

  1. Free property inspection.

Our inspector walks the outside of your home, checks the size of the yard and looks for standing water, breeding spots, shaded resting areas and anything that could make access difficult.

  2. Written quote.

You get a written proposal that lists the installation and first visit separately from the ongoing monthly charge. That way, you can see both costs before you decide.

  3. In2Care station installation.

Our technician places In2Care® mosquito stations around your yard. How many you need depends on the size of the yard. The biological agents and larvicide inside the stations are regulated pesticide products, so leave the stations where they are and don’t open them.

  4. Power-misting the landscape foliage.

The technician mists the plants and shrubs around your property where mosquitoes rest. All products are applied according to their labels.

  5. Monthly maintenance visits.

Each month, we inspect and maintain the stations and treat the foliage again. Visits depend on the weather, technician availability and being able to get into your yard.

Let us know before a visit if you have a koi pond, a beehive, edible plants, new pets or anyone in the home sensitive to pesticides. Please tell us in writing so the technician can plan the treatment around them.

Mosquito Service Pricing for Marco Island Yards

Mosquito service pricing is set by yard-size tier, and the first visit costs more than the months that follow.

Mosquito control in Marco Island starts around $65 a month for a typical yard, after a one-time system setup from about $115.

That starting price applies only to yards of 4,000 sq ft and under. Larger yards are priced by yard-size tier, and the number of In2Care® stations follows that tier. The first charge covers installing the stations and the first foliage misting. After that, a separate monthly fee covers ongoing service. Your free inspection confirms your yard-size tier. The written quote lists the station installation and first visit separately from the recurring monthly charge, so you see both numbers before any work begins.

What Our Marco Island Mosquito Service Covers

This is a limited exterior service. We maintain your In2Care® stations and treat your landscape foliage on the agreed monthly schedule to reduce mosquitoes and breeding on your property. If mosquito activity increases between scheduled treatments, contact us. The conditions in your written service agreement apply.

The limits are simple. We don’t promise a mosquito-free yard. We don’t treat indoors. We don’t offer protection against bites or mosquito-borne illness. Swarms after rain and spikes after storms are expected and don’t mean the service has failed.

Your written agreement explains what this limited service includes, what it excludes and what you’re responsible for as the homeowner. Mosquitoes coming from neighboring properties or nearby water aren’t covered. You’re asked to remove standing water, give us access to the yard on service days and leave the stations in place. Your signed service agreement controls.

Frequently asked questions

How much does mosquito control cost on Marco Island?

Pricing depends on your yard size. The first charge covers installing the In2Care stations and the first foliage misting, and a monthly fee covers ongoing service after that. The starting price listed above is for our smallest yard tier, and larger yards are priced separately. Your free inspection includes a written quote with both amounts.

How soon can you come out to my Marco Island home?

We respond the same day you reach out. New customers are typically scheduled within 24 hours. Same-day appointments depend on availability and preparation.

Will your mosquito treatment get rid of all the mosquitoes in my yard?

No. This service reduces mosquitoes and breeding on your property. It doesn't eliminate them. Mosquitoes fly in from nearby properties and water, so you may still see some after rain or storms. The service doesn't treat indoors and doesn't protect against bites or mosquito-borne illness.

What can I do between visits to help the service work?

Get rid of standing water around your home. Empty plant saucers, bird baths and uncovered containers, clear clogged gutters, and turn over or remove tarps and tires. Don't move or open the In2Care stations. Give us full access to your yard on service days, including gate codes and restrained pets. Contact us if activity increases between scheduled treatments. The conditions in your agreement apply.

How long is the mosquito service agreement?

Before you sign, read the mosquito service terms so you know what's included and what's excluded. The agreement has an initial term of 12 months and then continues month to month. Either you or we can cancel with 30 days' written notice. The terms also explain that the service covers the outside of your property only, that it can't be transferred if you sell the home, and that it doesn't cover mosquitoes coming from off your property. If anything differs, the written agreement controls.
