Frequently asked questions
Can I hire an exterminator for my apartment without going through my landlord?
You can contact us directly to request service for your own unit. Whether you can book on your own depends on your lease, your building's rules and any permissions your property requires. We cannot confirm what access rights you have. Shared areas like hallways, grounds and building exteriors can be treated only with approval from whoever controls them. Check your lease or ask your property manager about building rules before you book.
Is apartment pest control safe for pets and kids?
Our technicians apply products according to their labels. Tell us about pets, children or health concerns when you book. Your technician will explain what to do before and after the visit. Your emailed service report lists the products used.
How long does a typical apartment treatment take?
It depends on the size of your unit, how much activity there is and which areas are included. Your inspector or technician can give you a time estimate when you schedule.
What if my neighbor has pests and I keep getting them?
Pests can move between units through shared walls and plumbing. Treating your unit and any exterior areas in your agreement helps protect your space. If covered pests get inside between visits, you can request a free return visit. For building-wide problems, property management can arrange service for common areas.
Can I cancel if I move out of my apartment?
Every recurring plan has a one-year initial term, whatever the visit frequency. You can cancel within 3 business days of signing under the right to cancel in your agreement. After that, canceling during the initial term requires a buyout fee equal to 50% of the recurring service charges left in the term. After the first year, either side can cancel with 30 days' written notice. If a move is coming up, ask your inspector to walk you through these terms before you sign.
