Frequently asked questions
How much does rodent control cost in Davie?
There's a published starting price, but the final number comes from the inspection. Cost is driven by how many entry points need sealing, how accessible they are, the size and roof style of your home, and how much trapping the activity level requires. Optional attic sanitation is quoted separately. You'll get the full scope and price in writing before any work begins.
How fast can you come out?
Scheduling is usually quick. Same-day service is often available when the schedule allows, and appointments are typically within 1–2 business days. If rats are in your living space, we usually respond by the next business day. During busy season same-day isn't always possible, but a 1–2 day appointment is very achievable.
Can you get rid of the rats in one visit?
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who says they can. Removal takes a minimum of two visits, 5–7 days apart. We seal the structure and set traps on the first visit, then come back to check traps, remove what's been caught, and re-assess activity. Sealing on day one closes the exits and drives the remaining rodents toward the interior traps.
What kind of rodents get into Davie attics?
Roof rats — also called palm rats or citrus rats — are the most common. They're strong climbers that use tree limbs, fences, and utility lines to reach the roof, then enter at soffit returns, roof and gable vents, or plumbing vent stacks. Norway rats stay lower and come in around foundations, garages, and utility penetrations. House mice can fit through openings roughly the width of a pencil.
Do you put bait inside my attic or my house?
No. Bait stations are exterior and perimeter only, placed outside the structure where appropriate to reduce pressure coming at the home from the surrounding property. Everything we do inside the house is mechanical trapping.
Where are traps placed if I have kids and pets at home?
Interior traps are set along the runways and travel routes the inspection identified, and bait stays outside the structure. Tell your inspector and technician about children and pets in the home so placement can be discussed at the appointment, and follow your technician's instructions about the areas where traps have been set.
