Frequently asked questions
How much does termite treatment cost in Aventura?
We publish a starting price for only one service: a one-year drywood termite bond on a smaller home. Every other method is quoted after a free inspection. Species, home size, how far the activity has spread and site conditions all change the price. You get a written quote before any work is scheduled.
Do I have to leave my home during termite treatment?
It depends on the method. Drywood and Formosan fumigation both require you to leave, typically for two nights and three days. You go back in only after the licensed fumigator tests clearance and posts the written clearance notice. Formosan liquid treatment does not require you to leave. People and pets stay clear of the work area, and off treated soil, until the application has been watered in or has dried. For spot treatment, bond treatment and baiting installation, follow the instructions your technician gives for that service.
Is a termite inspection free?
Yes. The standard inspection to identify termites and recommend treatment is free. An official WDO report for a home sale or closing is a separate paid service, quoted on request.
Should I tent my home or spot treat drywood termites?
It depends on how far the activity has spread. Spot treatment targets specific areas and covers only those areas for sixty days. A drywood bond covers the wood members found active during the inspection, with a one-year or three-year first term. Drywood fumigation treats the whole structure and comes with a one-year renewable warranty. Your inspector will explain which options fit what they found.
Does a termite warranty cover damage repair?
No. None of our termite agreements pays for wood repair or termite damage. Each warranty spells out its own retreatment or station servicing for its term, and Formosan fumigation is sold with no warranty. Read the agreement for the method you choose to see exactly what it includes.
