Termite Treatment in Coral Springs Starts With Identifying the Termite

Termite treatment in Coral Springs works best when it starts with one question: which termite is in your home? South Florida homes can have drywood termites living inside the wood. They can also have subterranean termites, including Formosan termites, that travel up from the soil. These groups live differently, so they need different treatments. A treatment that works well on one can do little against the other.

That is why On Demand Pest Control starts every Coral Springs job with a free inspection. Our inspector looks for signs like frass, the small pellets drywood termites push out of their galleries. Mud tubes on foundation walls, shed swarmer wings near windows, and wood that sounds hollow or feels soft are other signs. Once the species is identified, you get written options that fit what was found. You do not get one standard package applied to every house.

If you have seen pellets on a windowsill, wings on the floor after a warm evening, or a mud tube climbing a stucco wall, it is worth having someone look. On Demand responds the same day. New customers are typically scheduled within 24 hours, and same-day appointments depend on availability and preparation.

Coral Springs homeowners can choose from seven termite services, each built for a specific termite and each with its own contract. For drywood termites, the options are a localized spot treatment, a drywood termite bond, or whole-house tent fumigation. For subterranean termites, including Formosan, there is a baiting system installed around the home. Formosan termites also have their own fumigation and liquid soil treatment services. The right termite treatment depends on what the inspection finds, and the inspection is free.

What Drywood and Subterranean Termite Work Involves

The work looks different depending on the species. Drywood work often happens in the attic and inside wood members. Spot and bond treatments put termiticide right where the activity is. Fumigation tents the whole structure and uses sulfuryl fluoride gas. Subterranean and Formosan work happens in the soil. That means either installing bait stations around the perimeter or, for Formosan liquid treatment, trenching along the foundation and drilling under the slabs next to the house. Drill holes are patched but stay visible.

Florida Termite Swarm Seasons by Species

Swarmers are winged reproductive termites that leave a mature colony on dispersal flights to start new ones. According to UF/IFAS, when these flights happen in Florida depends on the species and the location. The timing below is Florida-wide species biology. It does not describe termite activity in any one city.

  • Native subterranean termites (Reticulitermes): flights fall in winter and spring, and each species has its own window. Reticulitermes hageni flies from early December to early February, in the evening. Reticulitermes flavipes flies from early January through April. Reticulitermes virginicus flies from early February to late May. R. flavipes and R. virginicus usually fly on warm, sunny, windless early afternoons after rain.
  • Formosan subterranean termites: swarms typically run from early April to late June, shortly after sunset, and peak in May. When a structure is infested, these swarms can happen indoors.
  • West Indian drywood termites (Cryptotermes brevis): mature colonies release swarmers on several flights from April to June, and flights can happen at any time of year. Drywood termite colonies live entirely within wood.

A colony produces swarmers only once it is mature, so swarmers point to an established colony. Piles of shed wings on windowsills, in light fixtures, or along baseboards are a common clue. For subterranean termites, moisture near the foundation from irrigation, plumbing leaks, or poor drainage is a conducive condition.

Termites work in the dark and out of sight, so the season you notice them is rarely when the problem started. If you find wings, pellets, or mud tubes at any time of year, schedule an inspection. The best time to identify the species is before the damage spreads.

What to Expect From Inspection to Treatment

Every termite job follows the same path: find out what is there, then match the service to it. Your options depend on what the inspection finds. You will not be sold every service on the list.

  1. Free inspection.

Our inspector checks the interior, the attic where it can be reached, and the exterior foundation for frass, mud tubes, swarmer wings, and damaged wood.

  2. Species identification.

The inspector determines whether the activity is from drywood termites or subterranean termites, including Formosan. This decides which services can work at all.

  3. Written options.

You get a written quote listing the services that fit your home, along with the terms for each one.

  4. Treatment with a compatible method.

  • Drywood: spot treatment of specific areas, a drywood termite bond (attic treatment, spot injections, or radius treatment), or whole-house drywood tent fumigation.
  • Subterranean, including Formosan: a baiting system installed in the soil around the home.
  • Formosan only: liquid soil treatment by trenching and drilling along the foundation, or Formosan tent fumigation.
  1. Preparation guidance.

Fumigation means leaving the home. The typical vacate period is two nights and three days, and no one can go back in until the licensed fumigator posts clearance. Liquid treatment does not require you to leave.

  2. Warranty service where the contract provides it.

If you see activity during a covered term, contact us and we will schedule an inspection under that agreement’s terms.

How Much Does Termite Treatment Cost in Coral Springs?

Termite pricing depends on the species, the method, and the size of the structure. The only published starting figure is for the one-year drywood termite bond on a smaller home.

Termite protection in Coral Springs starts around $975 for a one-year drywood termite bond on a smaller home.

Every other termite service is quoted individually. That includes the three-year bond, spot treatment, drywood fumigation, Formosan fumigation, Formosan liquid treatment, and the baiting system. The final price depends on the size of the home, how widespread the activity is, how easy the attic and foundation are to reach, and which method fits the species. Every Coral Springs job starts with a free inspection and a written quote you can review before you decide. Official WDO real-estate reports for home sales are a separate paid service, quoted on request.

What Our Customers Say

★★★★★

“Aiden was excellent! On his own initiative, he checked the wooden table and mirror by the front door where the dead termites had been found. He also checked another piece of wooden furniture that was nearby. He also found a new hole that the termites had made and was very thorough in treating the whole area. We are very pleased with his service and would highly recommend him to our friends.”

— A. Jones
★★★★★

“On Friday morning I saw what appeared to be droppings from drywood termites in my cabinet. I sent an online inquiry about a termite inspection. I received a call within 10 minutes, and by 130 that afternoon Bill came by to do a free inspection. Bill was knowledgeable, thorough, honest, and polite. He didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need and provided a synopsis of possible treatments.”

— L. Shortt
★★★★★

“My neighbors used them and they came highly recommended. I called, they scheduled right away to come out, scheduled the tenting for termites right away, and scheduled the walk through appointment. Matthew Klein Senior inspector came out and is my rep now. He is very thorough, honest, and upfront. They do not add additional services just because, they listen to your needs, no games.”

Why Coral Springs Homeowners Choose On Demand for Termites

Choosing a termite company comes down to accurate identification, clear options, and contract terms you can read before you commit. Here is what we offer:

  • Species-matched treatment: the options we offer depend on the termite we find. Baiting targets subterranean termites, including Formosan. Spot treatment, bonds, and drywood fumigation target drywood termites. Formosan fumigation and liquid treatment are for Formosan termites only.
  • Seven distinct termite services: spot treatment, one-year and three-year drywood bonds, drywood fumigation, Formosan fumigation, Formosan liquid treatment, and a baiting system.
  • Written, method-specific terms: before you sign, you see what each option covers, how long coverage lasts, and whether it renews or transfers.
  • Broward branch coverage: our East Coast office in Davie serves Broward County communities, including Coral Springs. New customers are typically scheduled within 24 hours.

Termite Warranty Coverage by Treatment Method

Termite warranty terms depend on the method you choose, and each method has its own contract. The drywood termite bond comes in a one-year or three-year initial term. It includes re-treatment at no additional charge when covered drywood activity returns during the term. Drywood fumigation carries a one-year initial term on the same basis, and both can be extended with an optional annual renewal. Formosan liquid treatment has a one-year renewable warranty that covers further liquid treatment only. The baiting system includes its first year of monitoring and service, with optional annual renewal after that. Drywood spot treatment covers only the treated areas for sixty days, and that coverage cannot be transferred. Formosan fumigation is sold with no warranty, with no retreatment and no renewal.

None of these agreements pay for wood repair, and each covers only the termites it was written for. Your inspector will go over the terms for the option you are considering before you sign.

Frequently asked questions

Is the termite inspection in Coral Springs really free?

Yes. The standard termite inspection is free, and you get a written quote with treatment options. The one exception is an official WDO real-estate report for a home sale or closing. That is a separate paid service, quoted on request.

Do I have to tent my house for termites?

Not always. Tent fumigation is one option for drywood termites and a separate option for Formosan termites. Localized drywood activity may be handled with a spot treatment or a drywood bond. Subterranean termites, including Formosan, can be handled with a baiting system, and Formosan termites also have a liquid soil treatment option. The inspection determines which methods fit your home.

How long do I need to leave my home for fumigation?

The typical vacate period is two nights and three days. Weather, foam-insulated attics, and the size and layout of the home can make it longer. No one may go back inside until the licensed fumigator tests clearance levels and posts a written clearance notice.

Does the termite warranty cover damage repair?

No. None of our termite agreements pay for wood repair or replacement. Depending on the method, coverage means re-treatment, further liquid treatment, or baiting system service during the term. Formosan fumigation has no warranty at all.

Can I transfer my termite coverage if I sell my Coral Springs home?

Drywood bonds, drywood fumigation, Formosan liquid treatment, and the baiting agreement can transfer to a new owner if written notice is given within thirty days of closing. Drywood spot treatment coverage cannot be transferred, and Formosan fumigation has no coverage to transfer.
