Frequently asked questions
How much does termite treatment cost in Delray Beach?
It depends on the species, the size of your home and the method you choose. Our published starting figure applies only to a one-year drywood bond on a smaller home. Every other service is quoted individually after a free inspection, and you get the price in writing.
Do I have to tent my house for termites?
Not always. Tent fumigation is one option for widespread drywood activity and one option for Formosan termites. Limited drywood activity may be handled with spot treatment or a bond. Formosan termites may also be handled with liquid treatment or a baiting system, and other subterranean termites with a baiting system. Once your inspector identifies the species, they will explain which options fit.
How soon can someone come out to my Delray Beach home?
We respond the same day. New customers are typically scheduled within 24 hours, and same-day appointments depend on availability and preparation. Treatment dates depend on the method, because fumigation, liquid work and baiting each have their own prep and scheduling.
Is termite treatment safe for my family and pets?
It depends on the method and on following its instructions. With fumigation, no one may enter the home until the licensed fumigator tests the air and posts clearance. With Formosan liquid treatment, you do not need to leave, but people and pets must stay clear of the work area and off treated soil until it has been watered in or has dried. For liquid treatment, we also give you the manufacturer's specimen label for each pesticide used.
Is a termite inspection for a home sale free?
The standard inspection we do to find and treat termites is free. An official WDO real-estate report or clearance letter for a closing is a separate, paid service, and we quote it on request.
