Frequently asked questions
How much does termite treatment cost in Wellington?
It depends on the species, the method, and the size of your home. The published starting figure on this page applies only to a one-year drywood termite bond on a smaller home. Every other method is quoted after a free inspection, and you get a written quote before any work starts.
Do I have to leave my house for termite treatment?
Tent fumigation for drywood or Formosan termites requires everyone to leave, typically for two nights and three days. No one goes back inside until the licensed fumigator posts clearance. You don't have to leave for Formosan liquid treatment, but people and pets must stay clear of the work area. Other methods have their own preparation steps, and we explain them with your quote.
Is a termite inspection for a home sale free?
The standard inspection we do before recommending treatment is free. An official WDO report for a real estate closing is a separate paid service. We quote it on request.
Does a termite warranty pay to repair damaged wood?
No. None of our termite agreements includes wood repair. Depending on the method, coverage means re-treatment, further liquid treatment, or monitoring and servicing of bait stations. Formosan fumigation comes with no warranty at all.
What treatment options are available for Formosan termites?
We offer three options for Formosan termites: liquid soil treatment, a baiting system, and Formosan tent fumigation. Liquid treatment has a one-year renewable warranty that covers further liquid treatment only. The baiting system includes first-year station monitoring and servicing, with optional renewal. Fumigation is sold without a warranty. Our inspector will explain which options suit your home.
