Frequently asked questions
How much does rodent control cost in Sanibel?
The price depends on your home: how many entry points need sealing, how hard they are to reach, the size of the house and how much activity is present. Every job starts with a free inspection and a written quote, so you know the full cost before work begins. Attic sanitation is quoted separately as an optional add-on.
How soon can someone come out to my Sanibel home?
ODPC responds the same day you reach out. New customer appointments are typically scheduled within 24 hours. Same-day appointments may be possible, depending on availability and preparation.
How many visits does rodent removal take?
Rodent removal takes a minimum of two visits, 5–7 days apart. On the first visit, we seal the entry points and set traps inside the home the same day. Follow-up visits check the traps and activity.
Where are traps and bait stations placed if I have kids or pets?
Traps are set inside the home, and bait stations are placed only outside, around the perimeter where appropriate. Your technician will explain where everything goes and answer your questions before starting. If you have pets or small children, tell us at the inspection so we can plan placement around them.
Can I handle a rat problem myself instead of hiring a pro?
Store-bought traps may catch a few rodents, but they don't close the openings that let rodents in. Professional exclusion means finding the active and likely entry points along the roofline, soffits and vents, sealing them and trapping the rodents left inside. Covered points we seal and record also come with our limited exclusion warranty.
